Visit Key Sacred Sites
A 6-8 Day Tour to discover ancient sites of Celtic and Knights Templar importance in Lowland Scotland and to learn about their history and myths.Based in Edinburgh.Good footwear for walking amidst superb nature is recommended.
Day1- collection on arrival;transfer to lodgings.Tour briefing from Ivor,who guides with passion and knowledge.Overnight locally with Bed & Breakfast.
Day2:- visiting Roslin Gen and Rosslyn Chapel;Borthwick Church and Castle;Temple - headquarters of the Knights Templar in Scotland.Overnight at same lodgings with B&B.
Day3;- learn about early Edinburgh;St Triduana; the Balm Well,Arthur`s Seat and the Rose Line;Currie Church and Edinburgh Castle.Overnight at same lodgings with B&B.
Day4:- visit Cairnpapple( Scotland`s Stonehenge);the "Sanctuary Stones" and learn about the Knights of St John(Hospitallers);Torphichen Perceptory; Aberlour and Linlithgow Palace.Overnight at same lodgings with B&B.
Day5:-visit Celtic and Pictish sites in the Scottish Borders;Melrose Abbey and visit Dalhousie Castle for evening Dinner.Transfer to same lodgings for B&B.OR PAMPER YOURSELF BY STAYING OVERNIGHT AT THE CASTLE.
Day6:- visit Newbattle Abbey or Culross in the morning.Return to Edinburgh for departure. OR visit both locations plus another overnight and
Day7: - add an extension to experience the "Holy Island" of Lindisfarne; returning to again overnight at Edinburgh with B&B.
